Ahmedabad, 21st June: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah joined local residents in Ahmedabad to celebrate the 11th International Yoga Day by participating in a mass yoga session.
Taking to social media platform ‘X’, Shah extended greetings to the nation and emphasized the unifying power of yoga, stating, “Yoga, which brings unity among mind, body, and brain, has today become a part of the daily routine of people all over the world.”
In another post, he highlighted yoga’s deep roots in Indian tradition and its contribution to a healthy lifestyle. “Yoga has been an integral part of India’s culture for centuries. Regular practice of yoga removes physical and mental disorders and fills one with positive energy,” he wrote.
Shah credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for elevating yoga to the global stage. “Under the leadership of Modi ji, India’s invaluable heritage ‘Yoga’ has been adopted by the entire world,” he said.
Concluding his message, the Home Minister extended his best wishes to all and urged every citizen to incorporate yoga into their daily lives for a healthier and more balanced future.
