Mumbai, 13th Dec. The World Hindu Economic Forum (WHEF) 2024 is set to begin on Friday with a series of impactful sessions aimed at advancing Bharat’s journey toward becoming a global economic leader. Hosted in Mumbai, the forum will feature key discussions on economic strategies, technological innovation, and self-reliance, with the participation of renowned leaders, policymakers, and industry experts.
The inaugural session, beginning at 10:00 AM, will open with videos and a tribute to Shri Ratan Tata. It will be followed by a welcome address from Shri Rajesh Sharma, Chairman of the WHEF 2024 Organising Committee. Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Devendra Fadnavis will deliver a keynote address on “Propelling Maharashtra Towards Accelerated Growth,” while Shri T.V. Mohandas Pai, Padma Shri awardee and Chairman of Aarin Capital, will speak on “Accelerating Towards Viksit Bharat by 2047.”

- Hindu Economy and Wisdom of Rishi by Swami Vigyananand, showcasing traditional economic wisdom and its modern applications.
- Bharat-Israel Maitri Project by Shri Yeshaya Rosenman, highlighting bilateral economic and technological collaborations.
- Goa’s Progress Towards Viksit Bharat by Dr. Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa, focusing on the state’s contributions to India’s growth trajectory.
Afternoon Plenary: Resilient Capital Markets
The afternoon sessions will begin with discussions on Bharat’s growing investment appetite, chaired by Shri Nikhil Naik, featuring:
- Foreign Direct Investments and Domestic Savings by Shri Nilesh Shah, MD, Kotak AMC.
