ANURADHA.
It is no secret that societies with broken institutions including the family institution tend to be the ones that also suffer rampant child abuse. The detrimental effects of broken societal institutions on children and the adverse effects of child abuse on society in fact tend to occur in a cause-and-effect loop and have been discussed at length here.
One tends to wonder about the “activism” carried out to ease laws that can only have the function of helping paedophiles abuse children with impunity. Where does this push come from? Who exactly are the activists working for bringing this about?
Disclosures about a few such “activists” provide answers. A recent report reveals: “The philosopher Michel Foucault, a beacon of today’s “woke” ideology, has become the latest prominent French figure to face a retrospective reckoning for sexually abusing children.”
“A fellow intellectual, Guy Sorman, has unleashed a storm among Parisian “intellos” with his claim that Foucault, who died in 1984 aged 57, was a paedophile rapist who had sex with Arab children while living in Tunisia in the late 1960s.”
Other commentators confirm that Foucault was indeed a paedophile. “Evidence that Foucault was a paedophile or at least sympathized with sexual attraction to children is present from his books, is apparent from his activities during his life, and have been retrospectively alleged by those who met him and spent time with him personally.”
Foucault was one of the prime movers of the 1977 petition in France for the abrogation of the age-of-consent law and the “decriminalization of all consensual relations between adults and minors below the age of fifteen.” Notably, other petitioners mentioned in the list include luminaries like Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir, among others. This petition was one of the outcomes of the May 1968 revolution in France.
However, in later years, France awakened to the realization that “some of the causes championed in the Paris revolt” could be seen as “very troubling.” This realization dawned in the wake of documents that came to light suggesting that one of the student leaders of the May 1968 revolution, Danny Cohn-Bendit had possibly engaged in child sex abuse. In February 2001, when these allegations against Cohn-Bendit were being discussed, the Editor of the French publication Libération is reported to have said, “The cultural revolution that followed May 68 was a social triumph in many, many ways. But its discourse on the sexuality of children has served to legitimise practices that are, at times, criminal.”
That France indeed suffered the consequences due to the May 1968 discourse on sexuality of children is evident from the emergence of a new scandal in February this year involving France’s elite being accused of sexual abuse. In a book written by Camille Kouchner, she has alleged that her stepfather Olivier Duhamel subjected her half brother Anthony Kouchner to abuse. The publication of the book caused a big jump in the number of people who have started to come out to report sexual abuse they faced as children. “The association Face à l’inceste (Facing Incest) says the number of calls it received this month shot up from 30 to almost 200. Lawyers describe similar jumps in the number of clients wanting to explore legal action.”
An article which uncovers details of Michael Foucault as a paedophile and serial rapist laments that this “wicked man” was a major source of influence to many: “Among those who were comprehensively influenced by Foucault were Giorgio Agamben (“biopower”), Edward Said (“Post-colonial Studies”), Pierre Bourdieu (anthropology), Gilles Deleuze (metaphysics), Talal Asad (“Cultural Anthropology’), David Halperin (“Queer theory”), Hubert Dreyfus (AI), Paul Rabinow (Anthropology), Jacques Rancière (neo-Marxism), Félix Guattari (“Schizoanalysis”), and Stephen Greenblatt (“New Historicism”).”
The article further goes on to say, “Put simply, Foucault’s ideas are the intellectual framework of the Liberationism crusade…Every weirdo, every nutjob academic, every outlier, every criminal, every degenerate, has the roots of their intellectual justifications found in this deeply evil man’s brain… If you are the disciple of a predatory child rapist, you need to re-evaluate your ideas. If your academic hero is a serial paedophile, there is no reason for anyone to listen to a word you have to say.”
Just like the revelations on Foucault, some of the other celebrity signatories to the 1977 petition, such as Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir were later unmasked as well. The book, “A Dangerous Liaison,” reveals that de Beauvoir would pimp younger girls for Sartre in order to keep his love and that Sartre had compromised with the Nazis and also fallen into a Soviet honey-trap.
The revelations and evidence suggest that these activists promoted theories that would help to provide moral authority to their own depraved mentality and acts.
