New Delhi, 13th Jan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended warm greetings to the people of the country on the occasion of Lohri, a harvest festival celebrated with enthusiasm across North India.
In a post on the social media platform X, the Prime Minister wrote, “Wishing everyone a very happy Lohri!”
Lohri marks the end of the winter solstice and the arrival of longer days, symbolising prosperity, joy and new beginnings. The festival is celebrated with bonfires, traditional songs and dance, reflecting gratitude for a good harvest and hopes for a prosperous year ahead.
