Will Congress and Entire Political System Ever be ‘Free’ of Gandhi Family ?

After becoming Prime Minister in 2014, Narendra Modi campaigned on the slogan “Congress-free Bharat.” His dream of a Congress-free Bharat is steadily moving thanks to the support of the country’s voters. A lot of progress has been made in this direction over the last nine and a half to ten years. Prior to this, the Congress will become either a free Gandhi family or out of country.
Sonia Gandhi entered active politics in 1998. She did not enter active politics following Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination in 1991, but she continued to influence Congress Party and PV Narasimha Rao government decisions. Everything from Rao’s appointment as Prime Minister till his demise is public. How did she make Manmohan Singh Prime Minister after entering politics, and how did she lead his government from 2004 to 2014? Her wishes were the government’s orders. Sonia’s deception

Studying from Cambridge was supposed to imply that she had attended Cambridge University, however she had taken an English speaking course from an institute in Cambridge city. She finished his education in the eleventh grade. Dr. Subramanian Swamy’s election affidavit was sent to the Ethics Committee after she raised it in Parliament.
At the time, former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar chaired the Lok Sabha’s Ethics Committee. When Chandrashekhar heard the case, he knew what was going on. He also discovered that if the hearing was handled truthfully and thoroughly, Sonia Gandhi would lose her membership. Her reputation will likewise be ruined. She exerted pressure on Subramaniam Swamy and successfully resolved the situation. Sonia Gandhi escaped any punishment. She may have lost her Lok Sabha seat and been barred from running for office, but she was saved since her surname was Gandhi. This sense of entitlement helped her.
Rahul was also lying
Rahul Gandhi’s matter was also taken to the Ethics Committee. Dr. Subramaniam Swamy also whisked him away. He claimed that Rahul Gandhi founded a corporation in England. There is a rule that only citizens can form companies. He stated that he was a British citizen when establishing the company. If a Bharatiya citizen acquires citizenship in another country, his Bharatiya citizenship automatically expires. Subramanian Swamy claimed that Rahul Gandhi is not a citizen of Bharat. As a result, they are unable to run for office or serve in any legislative body. This matter was referred to the Ethics Committee, which this time was chaired by senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Lal Krishna Advani. He summoned Rahul Gandhi and questioned him. Rahul Gandhi’s response will surprise many people. When asked if his signature was on this form, he stated that Subramaniam Swamy should verify it. The question is whether Rahul completed the form or someone faked his signature, and it is his responsibility to prove it. However, the same Gandhi surname came in beneficial, and the case was likewise resolved. Rahul Gandhi’s membership was also maintained. In terms of morality, these two occurrences ought to offer an idea of this family.
The Corruption Case
Corruption is the third major issue. The corruption that occurred during the Congress-led UPA government from 2004 to 2014 is a separate story. From 1991 to 1996, when the Bofors case was ongoing, then-Foreign Minister Madhav Singh Solanki wrote to Sweden’s Defense Minister, requesting him to end the probe. The commission money granted to Quattrocchi in this transaction was deposited into his English account. The account was frozen at the request of the investigating agency and then freed by the Government of Bharat. The current case involves National Herald. This is an instance of money laundering involving around 5,000 crores. Both Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are out on bail in this case. This is their entire history, past and present. These issues are not political in nature. In terms of politics, this family’s potential to get votes has steadily declined since 2014.
Priyanka was unable to exhibit her wizardry
It has been reported that Priyanka Vadra, the third member of the family. She is the second Indira Gandhi, looks like Indira Gandhi and wears a saree like her, has a closed fist worth lakhs of rupees, and that the day it opens, there would be a storm in the country.
The height of ignorance is that people began voting for Priyanka Gandhi because she looks like her grandmother and wears a saree like her. The Congress Party and its leaders believed this and attempted to persuade the country of it. When Priyanka Vadra entered politics in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, she was assigned to two-thirds of the state, including eastern Uttar Pradesh. She believed that she could do miracles. During the 2012 Uttar Pradesh assembly election campaign, Rajnath Singh stated in Faizabad that the Congress grew old. In response, Priyanka Vadra asked the media “if I looked old to you?” She also inquired in a confrontational tone, “if I should join politics?” Her family, spouse, and close strategists believed she would be more successful than Rahul Gandhi.
Priyanka Vadra was appointed in 2019, and the outcome is now in the public domain. Even the Gandhi family’s three members united were unable to save their ancestral seat in Amethi.
Mulayam was useful
Mulayam Singh Yadav helped Rahul Gandhi win from Amethi in the 2014 elections. Sonia Gandhi contacted Mulayam Singh three or four days before the election to ask for assistance. Despite the fact that the Samajwadi Party was already supporting him and the Bahujan Samajwadi Party had not produced a candidate, Rahul Gandhi’s status remained poor. Mulayam Singh Yadav has utilized all of his resources. At the time, the Samajwadi Party was in control in the state and the Congress Party was in power at the national level. It seems that both of them helped Rahul Gandhi win the election, yet after winning in 2014, Rahul Gandhi did not return to Amethi. They were wondering who could defeat them. This ego drowned them in 2019. Smriti Irani continued to visit Amethi despite losing the 2014 elections. She maintained communication with the public. She benefited from this in 2019, when she defeated Rahul Gandhi in the polls. Rae Bareli is the sole seat in Uttar Pradesh won by the Congress party. Sonia Gandhi won the Rae Bareli seat in 2019 because the Bharatiya Janata Party did not take the seat seriously. Amethi and other seats received undivided attention. The ticket was also granted to someone who had previously supported the Congress Party and Sonia Gandhi. It had little effect, and Sonia Gandhi emerged victorious.
The public did not exhibit faith in Priyanka
After the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, she was given complete control of the state for the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. She used the phrase, “I am a girl, and I can fight.” An atmosphere has been established in which Priyanka’s storm is blowing and a Congress party government is about to take over Uttar Pradesh. Priyanka Vadra was seen everywhere, whether in the Hathras case or the Unnao case. The media control was so effective that it appeared that Priyanka Vadra was the most powerful leader in Uttar Pradesh. “If this closed fist were to be opened, it would be worth lakhs.” When the fist opened in 2022, it turned to ashes. In the 2012 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the Congress Party received 12% of the votes, while the Bharatiya Janata Party received 15%. In 2022, the Bharatiya Janata Party received 41% of the votes, while the Congress Party received 2.23%. This is the contribution of Priyanka Vadra, Rahul Gandhi, and Sonia Gandhi throughout Uttar Pradesh. This family hails from Uttar Pradesh. Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi all began their political careers here and rose to the position of Lok Sabha member.
Despite this, the Congress Party’s situation worsened with the presence of these three Gandhi family members, and Rahul Gandhi had to travel to Wayanad to attend the Lok Sabha. Even in Wayanad, people relied on the Indian Muslim League instead of the Congress. There is not a single seat earmarked for the Gandhi family among the country’s 543 Lok Sabha seats. This time, Rae Bareli is also in danger. Even if Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra fight, it is extremely difficult to win. It is impossible to win without the backing of the Samajwadi Party.
How effective is the Southern Fort?
The Congress Party appears to be dominant in the South. Telangana’s elections were just won. Previously, they had won the Karnataka Assembly elections. But, Assembly and Lok Sabha elections are distinct, particularly under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi goes to seek votes for him in the Lok Sabha elections, people behave differently and vote overwhelmingly for the BJP. People are stingy when it comes to voting for state leaders in assembly elections, although they do occasionally vote totally. The 2024 elections will be politically significant for this family. These three members will be unable to continue in the electoral or political arenas after the 2024 elections because the silent voice being raised now against Rahul Gandhi’s leadership will not be silenced even if the 2024 elections are lost. Priyanka Vadra has made no lasting impression. Media managers worked hard to attribute Himachal Pradesh’s success on their team. They won the election, yet they did nothing in Himachal to help Congress win. There were around four or five rallies but nothing was achieved. A leader does not become the one who receives votes or wins elections just by establishing a media image or perception. Currently, none of the Gandhi family’s three members have the power to garner votes. In a parliamentary system, no leader is weaker than one who is unable to secure votes. This is the situation of the Gandhi family.
In the coming days, the investigation into the National Herald case and other corruption cases will be stepped up. The screws will be tightened on the family. It won’t be a surprise if this family’s politics stop or begin to end after the 2024 elections. This family now has no political future. It is probable that it will continue to slide for quite some time. Their influence may survive another year or two, but assembly elections will follow one after the other. It is not difficult to foresee Congress’s position on this. The Gandhis are nearing the end of their political careers. They have no future in our country’s politics. Congress must now determine whether it envisions a future with or without this family. Going with the Gandhi family would be like committing suicide.
