New Delhi, 8th Feb. Union Minister of Ayush Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the new office building of the National Commission of Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) at Punjabi Bagh (West).
Sonowal underscored the transformative role of the Indian government’s holistic approach and visionary leadership in propelling the Ayush sector forward. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Ayush’s unprecedented growth, remarking that the world now acknowledges the power, efficacy, and inclusivity of Ayush systems of medicine.
Highlighting the pivotal role of NCISM in advancing Ayush education through innovation and interactive modules, the Minister stressed the importance of ensuring that Ayush education, healthcare delivery, products, and services excel on a global scale.
Additionally, Sonowal inaugurated the new “Padam Shree and Padam Bhusan Vaidya Devendra Triguna Sadan” building of the Akhil Bhartiya Ayurveda Mahasamelan and released the book titled, ‘Ayurveda Kritattva Parichya Kosh’ authored by RAV Guru, Vaidya Tarachand Sharma.
Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, highlighted the accomplishments of NCISM and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), emphasizing their alignment with the New Education Policy 2020. NCISM Chairman, Vaidya Jayant Deo Pujari, lauded the pioneering work of the commission.
The event was attended by dignitaries such as Vaidya Devendra Triguna, Chairman of Akhil Bhartiya Ayurveda Mahasammelan, Dr. (Prof.) Tanuja Nesari, Director of AIIA, Dr. Meena Kumari, Director of NIS, Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, Vice-Chancellor of NIA Jaipur, along with representatives from various organizations and NCISM office bearers.
