We must work collectively ensure rapid immunization and make rural India Covid free, PM Modi tells district officials through video conference

New Delhi, 26th May. PM Narendra Modi stressing for collective efforts directed officials on Thursday,  to work for keeping the rural India Covid free.

Addressing the district officials of 10 states in a virtual conference, PM Modi asked officials to spread awareness and utilize their innovative idea in such a way that the spread of the Covid virus is controlled in rural areas. During his interaction with the district officials, the prime minister cautioned the officials to remain vigilant and not to slow down the  fight against the dreaded disease.

The PM also stressed the need to curb vaccine wastage and said that that the health ministry was working towards giving 15-day advance vaccination schedule so that they can prepare d make arrangement for vaccination accordingly. He said that we can move forward in optimum utilisation and control vaccine wastage.

He commended the efforts of all the district officials and front-line workers who are working in controlling the spread of COVID 19 virus and have even lost their near and dear ones during this fight against the epidemic. He said that the government is working to enhance the medical oxygen capacity in the hospital and was pleased that the oxygen plant has been set up in one hospital. He said that the officials to prepare the infrastructure in advance for setting up oxygen plants in their respective districts. He also said that the officials should strive for speeding up the vaccination drive and remove any misconceptions through awareness programs. He expressed his pleasure that some villages by adopting appropriate Covid 19 behaviour have been able to keep the villages away from the pandemic.
