New Delhi, 12th July: The World Brotherhood Organisation (WBO) held a landmark summit in New Delhi on Friday, reiterating its firm commitment to global harmony, economic justice, and the eradication of poverty. The event was led by WBO President Kapil Khanna and drew participation from dignitaries, policymakers, and thought leaders advocating for universal brotherhood.

Delhi Assembly Speaker Shri Vijender Gupta, attending as Chief Guest, lauded WBO’s role in extending critical aid to over 50 nations during the COVID-19 pandemic. He said the organisation embodied the ancient Indian principle of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”—the world is one family.

Highlighting India’s international outreach, President Kapil Khanna cited the nation’s $3 billion credit line to Sri Lanka and its diplomatic resilience amid global conflicts as examples of India’s leadership in promoting solidarity.

Special invitee Air Vice Marshal O.P. Tiwari proposed commemorating September 11 as International Brotherhood Day, a vision originally articulated by Rabindranath Tagore. He also criticised “capitalist nations” in North America and Western Europe for obstructing genuine efforts at global unity.

Professor Gaurav Vallabh, another key speaker, outlined the WBO’s foundational goals of economic justice and innovative, inclusive development. “Global brotherhood cannot exist unless poverty is directly and decisively addressed,” he asserted.

The summit also drew participants from various professions, reinforcing the growing collective will toward shaping a more equitable and peaceful world order.
