VP Radhakrishnan to Visit Tamil Nadu from October 28–30

During his three-day maiden visit, Vice President Radhakrishnan will attend public programmes across Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Madurai, and Ramanathapuram, including Thevar Jayanthi celebrations.

New Delhi, 27th Oct: Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan will embark on his first official visit to Tamil Nadu from October 28 to 30, 2025, following his assumption of office. During the three-day visit, he will participate in several public programmes across Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Madurai, and Ramanathapuram.

Before arriving in Tamil Nadu, the Vice President is on an official visit to the Republic of Seychelles (October 26–27, 2025), where he attended the swearing-in ceremony of Dr. Patrick Herminie as President of Seychelles.

Upon his arrival at Coimbatore Airport on October 28, Shri Radhakrishnan will receive a warm public reception. He will be felicitated by the Coimbatore Citizen Forum at CODISSIA, pay homage at the Mahatma Gandhi statue at the Town Hall Corporation Building, and visit Perur Mutt to take part in the centenary celebrations of Shanthalinga Ramasamy Adigalar. Later in the evening, he will travel to Tiruppur to offer floral tributes at the statues of Tiruppur Kumaran and Mahatma Gandhi.

On October 29, the Vice President will attend a felicitation programme in Tiruppur, followed by a visit to Madurai, where he will offer prayers at the Meenakshi Amman Temple.

Concluding his tour on October 30, Shri Radhakrishnan will take part in the Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar Jayanthi celebrations at Pasumpon in Ramanathapuram district.
