VP Radhakrishnan Pays Tribute to Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar
Vice-President calls Thevar a fearless patriot, great warrior, and spiritual luminary during his Tamil Nadu visit.

Ramanathapuram, 30th Oct: Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan concluded his three-day visit to Tamil Nadu today, after attending a series of events in Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Madurai, and Ramanathapuram.
On the final day, the Vice-President visited Pasumpon village in Ramanathapuram District and paid rich tributes to the revered leader Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar on the occasion of his Jayanthi and Guru Pooja.
Describing Thevar as a great warrior, fearless patriot, and spiritual luminary, Shri Radhakrishnan said he dedicated his life to the nation and its people. He hailed Muthuramalinga Thevar as a devoted follower of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, who embodied courage, sacrifice, and deep patriotism.
The Vice-President added that Thevar’s leadership transcended community and faith, uniting people through his vision of equality and national pride.
Expressing personal joy at participating in the celebrations, Radhakrishnan said he has attended Thevar Jayanthi and Guru Pooja for 25 years and felt honoured to continue the tradition during his maiden visit to Tamil Nadu after assuming office.
He affirmed that the legacy of Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar would continue to inspire generations, symbolising the timeless values of devotion, unity, and service to the nation.
