New Delhi, 2nd Oct: Vice-President of India C. P. Radhakrishnan on Thursday extended his greetings on the centenary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), praising its century-long contribution to nation-building and social service.
In a social media post, the Vice-President said the RSS’s greatest contribution is its “man-making ethos,” which has shaped self-disciplined and responsible citizens for a stronger and more vibrant society.
Recalling the founding of the RSS by Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in 1925, Shri Radhakrishnan said the organization has inspired generations of youth to cultivate inner strength and voluntarily dedicate themselves to social service. He noted that guided by the motto Seva Parmo Dharmah, RSS volunteers have always been at the forefront during floods, famines, earthquakes, and other calamities, extending selfless service without expectation.
He further lauded the RSS for embracing all sections of society, regardless of caste, religion, or language, and for embodying the spirit of unity in diversity. According to him, this inclusive approach has made the organization and its affiliates enduringly successful in advancing national progress.
Expressing optimism about India’s future, the Vice-President said, “The day is not far when Bharat will rise as the supreme nation of the world. In this great journey, the role of the RSS is significant.” He conveyed his best wishes for the RSS to continue its mission of service, unity, and progress.
