VP Radhakrishnan Calls for Destination Tourism, Heritage Excellence

New Delhi, 17th Oct: Union Minister of Culture & Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, along with Ministers of State Rao Inderjit Singh and Suresh Gopi, called on Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan at Parliament House today.

During the meeting, the Vice-President was briefed on the functioning, achievements, and key initiatives of the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Culture.

Radhakrishnan emphasized the development of destination-specific tourism, including medical and spiritual tourism, and highlighted the need for collaboration with international tour operators and stakeholders to create world-class tourist experiences.

He also stressed the importance of preserving India’s tangible and intangible cultural heritage and adopting global best practices in museum and heritage management, expressing confidence that India’s economic growth would bolster cultural initiatives.
