New Delhi, 1st Dec. Dr. Jitendra Singh stated on Thursday that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra demonstrates Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s people-centric work culture.
During a “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra” event in Village Munirka, Dr. Jitendra Singh highlighted the Modi Guarantee Vans, which aim to achieve 100% saturation of the 17-18 major flagship schemes introduced in the past 9-10 years for the socio-economic upliftment of marginalized sections of society. He also interacted with beneficiaries of various schemes at the camp.
Dr. Jitendra Singh emphasized that objective parameters were followed to ensure justice for those who had been denied it in the past. This is a departure from the previous practice of selective rolling out of state benefits based on vote bank politics.
The Minister praised Prime Minister Modi for prioritizing public delivery standards above political considerations and allowing the public to decide whom they wanted to vote for. The public’s endorsement of this approach was evident in the higher mandate received by the Modi government in the second term.
Dr. Jitendra Singh highlighted that the Centre has made significant progress in bringing many schemes closer to 100% saturation in just nine and a half years. The principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayaas” guides the distribution of benefits to deserving individuals.
He also acknowledged that the nine and a half years of the Modi government have empowered the youth and women in the country, giving importance to their aspirations, objectives, and goals.
The Munirka Camp included various events such as beneficiaries sharing their experiences, interaction with progressive farmers, celebrations of achievements of Gram Panchayats, on-the-spot quiz competitions, drone demonstrations, health camps, and volunteer enrollment for Mera Yuva Bharat.
The Viksit Bharat Campaign aims to cover over 2.55 lakh Gram Panchayats and over 3,600 urban local bodies by January 25, 2024, reaching every district in the country. As of November 26, 2023, 5,470 health camps have been conducted in 995 Gram Panchayats, benefiting more than 7,82,000 people.
The campaign is being implemented with the involvement of the State Governments, District authorities, Urban Local Bodies, and Gram Panchayats.
The IEC Vans have been customized to disseminate information through audio visuals, brochures, pamphlets, booklets, and standees in Hindi and state languages, showcasing the major schemes, highlights, and achievements at the national, state, and district levels.
