New Delhi, 21st Feb: Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan concluded its Delhi Province chapter of the nationwide “Saptashakti Sangam” campaign at the Constitution Club of India, marking a key milestone in the ongoing centenary year initiatives.

The campaign was organised to strengthen, organise and awaken Matrishakti (women power) across the country. Inspired by the seven divine feminine virtues—Shri, Vaak, Kirti, Medha, Kshama, Dhriti and Smriti—described in the tenth chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, the initiative sought to reinforce women’s role in nation-building, family cohesion and social awareness.

Across India, nearly 22,000 programmes were conducted under the campaign, witnessing the active participation of more than 26 lakh women. In Delhi province alone, 84 Sangam events were organised before the concluding ceremony.

Member of Parliament Kamaljeet Sehrawat attended the Delhi event and highlighted the central role of women in strengthening families and maintaining social stability. She stressed that environmental protection must become an integral part of everyday life.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Rama Sharma, Principal of Hans Raj College, Delhi University, who described women as the cornerstone of national development. She emphasised the need for holistic growth and stated that motherhood confers the highest dignity upon women, regardless of their professional achievements.

Dr. Jyoti Chouthaiwale, National Co-Secretary of Bharatiya Stree Shakti and chair of the programme, said that strong families form the foundation of a strong nation, and women remain central to this process.

Programme convenor Kavita Vishnoi presented details of the Delhi initiatives, while Geeta Ahuja, North Zone convenor, shared the national overview of the campaign. Lakshmi Singh outlined the objectives of the Sangams, and Sunita Jain conducted the proceedings.

More than 200 women participated in the Delhi concluding ceremony. The event ended with a collective pledge by attendees to strengthen themselves in accordance with Indian cultural values and to contribute actively to family awareness and environmental conservation efforts.
