VHP Condemns Waqf Board’s Land Claims in Telangana and Karnataka

GG News Bureau
Hyderabad, 28th Oct. The Waqf Board has recently asserted ownership of 750 acres in Malkajgiri, Hyderabad, Telangana, and 1,500 acres in the Vijayapura district of Karnataka, with reports indicating that this includes land belonging to local farmers. This claim has ignited criticism from local groups, particularly amidst the central government’s attempts to amend the Waqf Board Act.

In a statement released on Saturday, Dr. Ravinuthala Shashidhar, the National Spokesperson for the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), denounced the Board’s recent assertions, labeling them as a result of “vote bank politics.”

He emphasized the VHP’s commitment to supporting local movements and legal actions aimed at contesting the Waqf Board’s land acquisition activities.
