Agartala : VHP–Bajrang Dal Protest Bangladesh Atrocities

Tripura, Agartala 24th Dec: Public outrage against the continuing violence on Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh intensified on Wednesday as the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal organized a massive protest in Agartala. The demonstrations coincided with the observance of Balidan Diwas commemorating the martyrdom of Swami Shraddhanand, linking historical sacrifice with present-day concerns over Hindu survival in the region.

Massive Street Protest Against Bangladesh Violence .The protest march was organized by the West District unit of VHP and Bajrang Dal and began from the Agartala Town Hall area.

Protesters raised slogans condemning the killing of Hindus in Bangladesh Strong criticism of the interim Yunus-led government for failing to protect minorities

Allegations of growing anti-India sentiment across the border ,Demand for international attention to the persecution of minorities. As the procession moved towards the Akhaura Check Post, security forces erected barricades at Fire Service Chowmuhani. Tensions escalated when demonstrators attempted to cross the barricades.Clashes with Police Near International Border

A brief confrontation ensued between protesters and security personnel, including state police and fire service units.

Situation on the ground:

Protesters attempted to move towards the Indo-Bangladesh border .Police and Central Paramilitary Forces intervened

The situation was eventually brought under control .No major injuries were officially reported

VHP leaders stated that the anger on the streets reflects deep frustration over repeated attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, particularly after the brutal murder of a youth named Dipu Das.

‘Balidan Diwas’ Observed to Honor Swami Shraddhanand

Earlier in the day, the Purba Nagar Prakhanda of VHP observed Balidan Diwas at the park on the northern bank of Shibnagar College Lake.
