Uttar Pradesh Government Bans Sale of Liquor and Meat in Mathura-Vrindavan

Mathura, 10th Sep. The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a big decision regarding Mathura. The government has declared an area of 10 sq km of the birthplace of Shri Krishna in Mathura as a pilgrimage site.

There will be no sale of liquor and meat in the pilgrimage site area. Considering faith of lakhs of devotees coming to Braj, the Yogi government has taken this decision.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Mathura on Shri Krishna Janmashtami. He worshipped Thakurji at Shri Krishna’s birthplace. Here, Yogi announced a ban on the sale of meat and liquor in Mathura according to the wishes of the saints. He said that the people affected by this can start a milk business.
