New Delhi, 4th May. The fifth consignment from the United States of America (USA) arrived in India on Tuesday. The consignment carrying 545 oxygen concentrators reached India as part of Covid19 support.
Foreign Ministry (MEA) spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said in a tweet, “The fifth consignment of medical equipment reached India from the US, which has 545 oxygen concentrators. We appreciate the support from the US.”
Earlier on Sunday, a flight landed in India carrying 1.25 lakh vials of Remedisvir, an antiviral drug from the US. Then on Saturday night, a flight from the US, carrying 1000 oxygen cylinders, regulators and other medical equipment arrived in India.
Last week, the US deployed its first two aircraft for initial emergency relief supplies, including oxygen cylinders, regulators and pulse oximeters, with rapid diagnostic tests and N-95 masks shipped from California.
