Uttar Pradesh, 16th June. The Uttar Pradesh government plans to hire 40,000 more constables in its various wings in the near future.

The hiring process will start soon.

According to the plan, 34,000 constables will be absorbed into the civil police force, while 6,000 will be assigned to other units such as PACs, radio, and computer operators.

According to a senior police officer, the recruitment process is in line with the Prime Minister’s directive to central department and ministry officials to hire 10 lakh people in the next 1.5 years.

The recruitment of 9,534 sub-inspectors in various wings of the Uttar Pradesh Police Department was recently completed.
Raj Kumar Vishwakarma, the Director General of the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, said that pending recruitment issues in courts dating back to 2011 and 2013 were resolved after the Yogi government took power in UP, and that new recruitments had also begun.

The state police have hired 1.53 lakh people in the last five years.

“Right now, we’re planning to hire 40,000 more constables, bringing the total to 1.93 lakhs, which is a new high,” Vishwakarma said.

The DG stated that the recruitment exam will be held in the winter, with results expected by next summer, and that induction will be completed by December 2023.
After a court order pending since 2011, nearly 1,003 candidates were recruited as SI and equivalent ranks, while 5,498 were recruited as constables and equivalent ranks after a court order on recruitment in 2013.
