UP Government Denies to Allow Rahul Gandhi to Visit Lakhimpur Kheri

New Delhi, 6th Oct. Rahul Gandhi held a press conference and attacked the Narendra Modi Government of Center and UP fiercely, on the violence of Lakhimpur Kheri, the arrest of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and being stopped by the Uttar Pradesh government from meeting the victims’ families.
He said that he will go to Lakhimpur Kheri with two leaders. Rahul Gandhi said in the press conference, ‘I want to go there to know and understand the ground reality, because no one knows this and the truth will be known only by going there. For this, he also sought permission from the UP government but he did not get permission.
Rahul Gandhi said that yesterday Prime Minister Modi visited Lucknow but he could not go to Lakhimpur Kheri. Raising questions on the postmortem, he said, in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case, the postmortem was not done properly and whoever is speaking against it is being arrested.
Rahul said, ‘ the farmers of India are being attacked by the government. Farmers are being crushed under the jeep, BJP’s Home Minister and his son’s name is coming up, but no action has been taken against them.’ He said, ‘With two CMs we will try to go to Lucknow and Lakhimpur Kheri. ‘
Rahul Gandhi said that today he will try to go to Lakhimpur. Under Section 144, there is a ban on the gathering of 5 people at one place, so there will be two Congress leaders with them. That is, a total of three people will go. Attacking the UP government, Rahul said that his MLA was involved in rape case. If we didn’t take up the matter, he too would have been buried. This new type of politics is happening in the state. Criminals can do anything here.
He said, those who kill in this government roam outside the jail and those who are dying are put inside. Rahul Gandhi said that only we are being stopped from going to Lakhimpur Kheri, permission has been given to other parties. Our job is to raise issues. The government wants us not to do this.
Rahul Gandhi said, we had raised issues in Hathras, only then action was taken. We are fighting for the farmers who were killed, whose rights are being snatched away. On the coercion and arrest with Priyanka Gandhi, he said that we do not care about it. We have been trained for this over the years.
