Shivpuri, 2nd Dec: Union Minister for Communications and Development of the North Eastern Region, and Guna MP, Jyotiraditya Scindia attended the spiritual programme of Baba Bageshwar Dham head, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, in Shivpuri on Thursday. The event drew thousands of devotees, creating an atmosphere charged with spiritual energy.
Addressing the gathering, Baba Bageshwar praised Scindia for his commitment to public service and his prompt response to citizens’ needs, noting that people visiting him in Delhi for medical or administrative issues always receive assistance. He said such dedication reflects Scindia’s deep sense of responsibility toward his region.
During the event, Baba Bageshwar urged Scindia to facilitate the installation of a 108-foot statue of Lord Shiva in Shivpuri, stating that it would give the region a distinctive identity. Responding to the request, Scindia assured that the monumental statue would be installed soon, adding that it would place Shivpuri prominently on India’s cultural map.
On his arrival, Scindia greeted saints, devotees and local residents. He highlighted that India’s cultural strength lies in its sages, spiritual traditions and values that continually inspire society and provide moral direction.
The minister also appreciated the work of Dhirendra Shastri, stating that his efforts to promote spiritual awakening, positive thinking and social harmony among youth and society are commendable. He described the programme as one that “unites communities, inspires society and carries forward India’s spiritual heritage.”
