Union Minister Kiren Rijiju to Attend International Tipitaka Chanting Ceremony
Union Minister accepts invitation to be a Guest of Honor at the Bodhgaya ceremony and a world peace event in Ladakh.

New Delhi, 14th Aug: A delegation from the International Tipitaka Chanting Council (ITCC) of India, led by its president Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena, met with Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, in New Delhi. The purpose of the meeting was to invite the Minister to the 20th International Tipitaka Chanting Ceremony, scheduled to be held from December 2 to 12, 2025, in Bodhgaya.
The delegation, which also included Adv. Sulekha Kumbhare, Mr. Ranjan Kumar, and Mr. Anil Kumar Jain, extended a formal invitation for the Minister to attend the Opening Ceremony as a Guest of Honor. The Minister “graciously accepted the invitation and assured all possible support for this sacred and historic occasion.”

Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena also invited the Minister to a three-day international conference on world peace, which will be held from August 23 to 25, 2025, at the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC) in Ladakh.
In a separate event, a group of 160 spiritual seekers from the Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement (PSSM), a movement founded by the late spiritual master Brahmarshi Patriji, recently completed a spiritual retreat in Ladakh. As part of their journey, they attended a “Dhamma Talk” and a group meditation session led by Guruji Bhikkhu Sanghasena at the Mahabodhi Sunday Puja Hall. During the discourse, Sanghasena spoke about his “deep spiritual bond and mutual reverence” with Brahmarshi Patriji, highlighting their shared mission of spreading peace and spiritual awakening.
