Kundalpur, 23rd Feb. In Kundalpur, the most sacred Jain pilgrimage of Madhya Pradesh, the most revered saint of Jainism, Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj, has called for removing the word ‘secular’ in the Constitution of India and making it ‘religious’. He said that how can the protection and progress of the nation be done away from religion? The British have misinterpreted the meaning of religion to be religious. The true meaning of religion is to perform the duty properly.
About one lakh people reached the festival on Tuesday. Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also attended the festival.
Acharyashree, while giving a discourse said that accepting the foreign definition of religion, India was called a secular nation, it is absolutely wrong. The true meaning of religion was not understood. Religion inspires us to walk on the right path. Religion purifies our soul. It has been the culture of India that only a king who follows dharma can keep the subjects happy. How can the public be benefited by turning away from religion? Indian politicians should think about this.
Acharyashree also explained the five qualities of religion. He said that where there is kindness, there is religion. He said that talking about secularism while living in a democracy is absolutely wrong. He said that this message of mine should reach the central government.
Acharyashree expressed concern over the fact that today eggs are being described as vegetarian and milk as non-vegetarian in a conspiratorial manner. He said that if there is real Lakshmi on this earth, then it is a cow. It is written in the scriptures that during the time of Bharat Chakravarti, son of Lord Adinath, he used to run three crore cowsheds. Expressing concern over the prevalence of spurious milk, Acharyashree also asked to avoid it during the festival.
Religious rituals started in Kundalpur Mahotsav from morning under the direction of Pratishtha Acharya Vinay Bhaiya. Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj was worshiped after the consecration of God, Shantidhara and daily worship. The sages of Acharyashree honored about 2000 idols by giving them Surimantra. Surimantra was also given to the new idols sitting in the Bade Baba temple of Kundalpur.
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and BJP State President VD Sharma reached Kundalpur on Tuesday and took the blessings of Baba Adinath Bhagwan and younger Baba Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj. Scindia said in a conversation with Paras TV director Prakash Modi that we residents of MP are fortunate that most of the time of Acharyashree has been spent in MP. We keep getting his blessings and guidance. Scindia said that I have come to Kundalpur to seek blessings for the prosperity of the people of the state.
VD Sharma also while talking to the media said that I have come to seek blessings.
The ten-day Kundalpur Mahotsav will culminate on Wednesday with a huge Rath Yatra Ferry. For the ferry, 27 chariots from all over the country have reached Kundalpur.
