New Delhi, 11th Dec: As the Rajasthan government completes two years in office, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma’s administration has highlighted what it calls a transformative turnaround in the state’s recruitment system—marked by unprecedented transparency, strict enforcement and record appointments.
Under the theme “Two Years: New Rise – New Identity, Growing Rajasthan – Our Rajasthan,” the government stated that more than 92,000 young applicants have secured government jobs over the past two years, setting a new benchmark in recruitment delivery.
A central pillar of this overhaul has been the Special Investigation Team (SIT), constituted on December 16, 2023, to curb paper leaks and exam-related irregularities. According to Additional Director General Vishal Bansal (ATS & SOG), the SIT has played a decisive role in restoring trust in the exam ecosystem.
Since its formation, the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board (RSMSSB) and other recruitment bodies have successfully conducted 296 examinations up to November 6, 2025—without a single paper leak. Several central and departmental exams were also completed without irregularities.
SIT Crackdown: 138 FIRs, 394 Arrests
The SIT’s swift and targeted action has led to major breakthroughs. Up to November 6, 2025, the SOG has registered 138 FIRs related to dummy candidates, fake degrees and recruitment malpractices, resulting in 394 arrests. Officials say the crackdown reflects the government’s “zero-tolerance” stance on organised crime in recruitment.
High-Profile Cases
The SIT has also made decisive progress in major scam cases.
- In the SI Recruitment Exam 2021, a suspended RPSC member and a former member were arrested, along with 132 accused, including 61 trainee sub-inspectors and six selected candidates who had yet to join.
- In the Jail Prahari Recruitment Exam 2018 leak case, the SIT arrested TCS project manager Jagjeet Singh, identified as the key mastermind.
Structured Exam Calendar for Youth
To prevent delays and uncertainty, both RPSC and RSMSSB have issued structured annual exam calendars. Officials say this change has been widely welcomed by students, allowing them to prepare systematically.
Recruitment Momentum Continues
The government announced that hiring for 1.53 lakh posts is currently in progress, marking one of the largest ongoing recruitment drives in Rajasthan’s history.
The Bhajanlal Sharma government claims these reforms have not only strengthened the recruitment architecture but also renewed the confidence of millions of youth in the integrity of the state’s examination framework.
