Turkey Says NATO Intercepted Iranian Missile Over Mediterranean

WASHINGTON –Turkey Defence Ministry announced on Wednesday that a ballistic missile launched fromI ran was successfully intercepted and destroyed by NATO’s air and missile defense systems stationed in the eastern Mediterranean, media reported.

In a significant escalation of the ongoing West Asia conflict the missile had passed through Iraqi and Syrian airspace, was reportedly heading toward Turkish territory when it was neutralized, it added.
