WASHINGTON According to the White House officials on Wednesday US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin were set to meet in Budapest to discuss the potential end of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, there is indication that the potential meeting may not happen.
President Trump reacted to the reports, stated that he doesn’t want a “wasted meeting.”
“I don’t want to have a wasted meeting,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office when asked about the ‘shelved’ meeting with Putin.
“I don’t want to waste time, so I’ll see what happens,” he added.
“No plans,” said the White House on Tuesday responded to queries linked to the highly-anticipated meeting between Trump and Putin.
Trump first meeting with Putin ‘yielded no results’ in August 2025. In the particular meeting, both leaders failed to reach a conclusion regarding an end to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Trump remarked, “No deal until there is a deal.”
Indian journalist hit the bull’s eye, earned praise from the US President during the press conference yesterday.
The Indian journalist has not been identified asked Trump a question linked to the celebration of Diwali at the White House.
Trump remarked, “I already like his question,” prompted cheers from reporters present at the press conference.
