New Delhi, 11th Nov: “True honour belongs to the people, not leaders,” said Delhi BJP General Secretary Vishnu Mittal, as he dedicated all his awards and mementos to families in Seva Basti, Chitra Vihar.

Mittal described the initiative as a reflection of gratitude and humility, stating that leaders earn their identity through public service. “The symbols of honour that we receive are, in reality, the property of the people. Their true meaning is fulfilled only when they inspire pride and confidence among the community,” he said.

The event, held at Madhav Seva Kendra, saw participation from Seva Bharati workers and local residents, who hailed Mittal’s act as a powerful gesture of people-centric politics.

“By placing these awards in the homes of Seva Basti residents, I want to ignite a sense of pride and belonging. When our basti homes display these honours, that’s when they truly shine,” Mittal added.

Local citizens and social workers praised his initiative as an embodiment of service, partnership, and the spirit of Aatmanirbharta in leadership.
