Tripura, 14th July. On Saturday, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha addressed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Extended State Executive Meeting, making a forceful appeal for unity and discipline ahead of the impending panchayat elections.
The CM emphasized the importance of ensuring victory for all BJP candidates and urged party workers to effectively promote the development work carried out by both the state and central governments for the benefit of the people.
Saha’s speech emphasized the importance of raising awareness about grassroots efforts. He instructed party members and workers to focus on communicating with the general public, ensuring that the BJP’s philosophy is understood. “Highlight all development projects undertaken for the benefit of the people and the country. It is critical to take these issues to the grassroots level,” Saha stated.
Saha also issued a strong warning against any type of violence, disturbance, or disorderly conduct during the election period. He emphasized the need for discipline and preserving law and order to ensure continual victories.
“Our employees must refrain from any form of violence, disturbance, or disorderly conduct. Consistency in success is critical, and our actions must represent the BJP’s attitude,” he remarked.
Many prominent BJP leaders from both the state and the centre attended the meeting, including Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, BJP Coordinator from North-East Sambit Patra, BJP Lok Sabha MPs from Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb and Kriti Singh Debbarma, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya, and former Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, as well as other MLAs, Ministers, BJP secretaries, district presidents, and leaders from various morchas.
The state will hold panchayat elections on August 8, with votes counting on August 12.
