Traders in Bahalgarh protest after a shopkeeper is shot and robbed by a bike-born trio

Sonipat, Haryana, 11th Feb. On Saturday night in the Sonipat district of Haryana, three miscreants on bikes shot and stole from a shopkeeper at a marketplace. Shopkeepers in Bahalgarh village staged a protest after the incident, closing their businesses and obstructing traffic in order to demand that the miscreants be taken into custody.

Rajesh, the victim, owns and operates a grocery store in the village. The three came up to him at his shop and attempted to take his money. One of them shot him in the shoulder because he was resisting. After taking the cash and a digital video recorder from his store, the robbers made off.

After being taken to a private hospital on Bahalgarh Road, Rajesh is currently receiving medical attention. The precise amount of money stolen will be known once the statement of the hurt shopkeeper receiving treatment is recorded, according to police, who have started an investigation.
