New Delhi, 4th Oct: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid heartfelt tributes to freedom fighters Tiruppur Kumaran and Subramaniya Siva on their remembrance day, recalling their courage and contribution to India’s independence movement.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said both leaders from Tamil Nadu dedicated their lives to India’s freedom struggle and inspired generations with their sacrifices.
“Tiruppur Kumaran attained martyrdom while holding our national flag, symbolising unflinching courage and selfless sacrifice. Subramaniya Siva, through his fearless writings and fiery speeches, instilled cultural pride and patriotism among countless youth,” Shri Modi said.
He added that the efforts of the two leaders remain etched in the nation’s memory, reminding citizens of the struggles endured by countless freedom fighters to secure India’s independence.
The Prime Minister further said their contributions will continue to inspire people to work towards unity and national development.
