New Delhi, 9th Dec: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the world is increasingly “optimistic about India” when it comes to Artificial Intelligence, as he welcomed Microsoft’s largest-ever investment in Asia being directed to India.
His remarks came after a detailed discussion with Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella, who announced the company’s major investment plan. PM Modi described the meeting as “very productive,” noting that India’s growing digital strength continues to attract global technology leaders.
The Prime Minister said he was pleased to see India emerging as the destination for Microsoft’s biggest Asia investment, reflecting the country’s expanding role in the global technology ecosystem.
He also highlighted the role of India’s young population in driving AI-led progress. “The youth of India will harness this opportunity to innovate and leverage the power of AI for a better planet,” he added.
The move bolsters India’s ambition to position itself as a global hub for Artificial Intelligence and advanced technologies, strengthening its digital capabilities across sectors.
