The Union Home Ministry fired IPS Pankaj Chaudhary in February 2019 due to his second marriage to a woman without first divorcing his first wife. Pankaj Choudhary, an IPS, received a recommendation for dismissal during the Vasundhara Raje administration. The Center subsequently approved the state’s suggestion. After the state’s political landscape changed and the Congress government took office, he was fired from his position.
