The union government cabinet expansion scheduled for 5.30 pm on Wednesday

New Delhi, 6th July. The much publicised reshuffle of the ministerial portfolios in the centre will take place at around  5.30 pm on Wednesday according to the sources in the union government. Around 17 to 20 ministers are believed to be sworn in as cabinet ministers and the big question emerging is who all will be the fortunate ones to anointed as Ministers in centre from Uttarakhand.

The prime minister Narendra Modi has cancelled all his appointment till Tuesday which is indicative of the importance of this reshuffle in the portfolios.  The probable candidates from BJP have begun lining up in new Delhi with Sarvanand Sonowal beign one of the first to reach New Delhi. Jyotiriditya Scindia from has also reached Delhi from Indore along with former chief minister Narayana from Maharashtra.

The names of MP Nainital Ajay Bhatt, former chief ministers Trivendra Rawat and Tirath Rawat are also figuring in the new union cabinet list for now as government could go for more than two ministerial berths from Uttarakhand. However, the picture will be clear by Wednesday afternoon.

The assembly elections scheduled   in the five states next year could emerge as the main criteria for the distribution of the portfolios while some present nonperforming ministers who have not performed well could be shown the door out believe political experts. Many experts believe that Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank could lose his job as Union education minister or be given some other portfolio.
