Hyderabad, 24th Aug: A gruesome crime has come to light in Balaji Hills, a suburb of Hyderabad’s Medipalli, where a man allegedly murdered his five-month-pregnant wife, Swathi, and attempted to dispose of her body. The accused, identified as Mahender, was arrested after neighbors grew suspicious and intervened. The couple, originally from Vikarabad district, had recently married and moved to the area.

According to a senior officer from the local police, Mahender had cut his wife’s body into pieces and packed them in plastic covers. He was discovered by his neighbors while attempting to bury the packages. The discovery led to a police investigation, which revealed the horrifying details of the crime. The police stated that the accused had already disposed of the victim’s head, hands, and legs in the Musi River. The remaining part of the body was concealed in his house and has since been recovered.

The police have taken Mahender into custody and are questioning him to ascertain the full details of the crime. A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and authorities have stated that a fast-track investigation and trial will follow. Forensic teams have collected evidence from the scene, and a DNA test will be conducted to formally identify the deceased.
