Tejashwi Surya, a BJP MP, compared Mughals to Hitler and described Islam’s bloody history

Tejashwi Surya, a BJP MP, has encountered opposition during his tour of Australia. But he has made a significant statement here. He called the Mughal invasion of India “history’s bloodiest lesson.” Tejashwi Surya compared it to Hitler’s atrocities against the Jewish people. Tejashwi, on the other hand, cited a book by American historian Will Durant to support this claim. Tejashwi Surya said in gestures during the Australia India Youth Dialog (AIYD) programme in Parramatta on Monday that Islam’s history is full of bloodshed and violence.

In addition, Tejashwi Surya supported the initiative to ban Halal food and stated that the Hindu community should vote for parties that specifically protect Hindus. He stated that there are films and museums dedicated to atrocities committed against Jews all over the world. but there is no mention of atrocities committed against Hindus by Tipu Sultan, Mohammad Ghori, or Alauddin Khilji.

The program has been canceled

These remarks were made by Tejashwi Surya at a private event. The event was scheduled to take place at Swinburne Technological University’s ECA College in Parramatta. However, even before his programme, the Swinburne Islamic Society was opposed to it. The Islamic Society wrote to the university to intervene in the matter, and the university canceled the event scheduled for May 31.

Australia India Youth Dialog stated that it does not agree with any of the representatives’ points of view. As soon as Tejasvi Surya’s programme was announced, Muslim students, organizations, and religious organizations began protesting in Australia. Tejashwi Surya’s statement has come to the fore after the performance. Allowing Tejashwi Surya to speak at the university, according to Junaid Ahmed, a student of a Muslim organization promotes hate speech and Islamophobia. Earlier, in the context of the anti-CAA protests at Shaheen Bagh in the national capital, BJP MP Tejasvi Surya said that the majority community must remain vigilant or else Mughal rule will return to the country.
Surya was speaking during the Lok Sabha debate on a motion of thanks for the President’s address.

“Unless the majority community remains vigilant, the days of Mughal Raj may not be far away,” he said, referring to the ongoing protest at Shaheen Bagh against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
Surya also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for resolving critical issues that had been pending for decades.
