New Delhi, 9th July. Tata Motors announced on Saturday that it has increased the prices of its passenger vehicle range with immediate effect to offset the impact of rising input costs.
The homegrown automaker said in a statement that a 0.55 percent weighted average price increase will take effect beginning Saturday across the range, depending on the variant and model.
The company has taken extensive measures to absorb a significant portion of the increased input costs, it said.
“However, to offset the residual impact of the accumulated increase in input costs, it is passing on a minimised price hike,” it added.
In the domestic market, the company sells a variety of models such as the Punch, Nexon, Harrier, and Safari.
Tata Motors has already increased the prices of its commercial vehicle range by 1.5-2.5 percent beginning this month.
