WASHINGTON – Sundar Pichai, the Chief Executive Officer of Alphabet Inc. and its subsidiary Google, on Tuesday has warned people against blindly trusting Artificial Intelligence, stated that AI models are prone to errors.
He said that while AI tools may be helpful in creative writing, people need to “learn to use these tools for what they’re good at, and not blindly trust everything they say.”
Pichai highlighted the importance of using other tools, including Google Search, which may provide more accurate information.
He was quoted as saying in media that this is why people also use Google Search, and we have other products that are more grounded in providing accurate information.
Pichai added that while he takes pride in the work his company has put into providing information as accurately as possible, the current AI technology still has limitations.
“We take pride in the amount of work we put in to give users as accurate information as possible, but the current state-of-the-art AI technology is prone to some errors,” he told the media.
His remarks questioned the accuracy of AI models came ahead of the highly anticipated launch of Google’s consumer AI model, Gemini 3.0.
