New Delhi, 22nd Sept: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday lashed out at Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal for circulating what she called a “deliberately edited” video of her recent remarks on electronic voting machines (EVMs).

In a sharp post on X (formerly Twitter), Gupta told Kejriwal, “Stop watching my reels all day, Kejriwal sir. You have a state to run. Punjab is facing floods and you are busy clipping my statements.”

The exchange began after Kejriwal posted a 14-second video in which Gupta appeared to question the reliability of EVMs. Gupta clarified that the full video of her speech—shared by the BJP Delhi unit—showed her criticising the Congress for repeatedly casting doubt on EVMs despite successive court validations.

“The AAP chief is trying to mislead people by cropping a larger argument into a soundbite,” Gupta said, adding that the Delhi government remains committed to transparent elections.

The war of words comes amid heightened political sparring ahead of upcoming assembly polls, with opposition parties continuing to debate the use of EVMs despite repeated assurances from the Election Commission and the Supreme Court.
