Kurukshetra, 3rd October: Prof. Madan Mohan Goel, Proponent of Needonomics, three-time Vice-Chancellor and Superannuated Professor of Kurukshetra University, released a special postal stamp today. The ceremony was held in the presence of Shri Vinod Garg, Member of the Postal Division Post Forum.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Goel informed that the Department of Posts offers a unique facility under which any individual can get a personalized, paid postal stamp released with their photograph. He underlined that this opportunity is open to all citizens and serves as a way of honoring personal identity and contributions.
Prof. Goel, often described as a visionary in economic thought, has been consistently advocating Needonomics – an ethical, people-centric framework that distinguishes between needs and greed in public policy and personal life. With decades of academic and administrative experience, including his leadership as Vice-Chancellor at three universities, he continues to inspire debate on value-based economics rooted in the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita.
Expressing gratitude for the release, Prof. Goel remarked, “This stamp is not just about me, but about spreading the message of Gita-inspired Needonomics. It is a reminder that simple, need-based living and ethical economics are essential for a sustainable and just future.”
