New Delhi, 4th Feb. A female traveller on a SpiceJet flight from Kolkata to Bagdogra has reported that another passenger on the aircraft mistreated her.
The airline said in a statement that the woman did not, however, lodge a complaint against the co-passenger after he apologized to her in front of CISF officials.
The woman reportedly complained about the incident on a January 31 flight to Bagdogra, West Bengal, according to SpiceJet officials. The passengers had been seated close together, but after the woman’s accusation, they had been moved to new seats. They were escorted to CISF officers upon arrival. The woman complained and demanded action, but she did not file a complaint after the other passenger apologized.
“The female traveler asked that the other passenger be held accountable. The female passenger left the airport without submitting a written complaint, obstructing SpiceJet’s ability to conduct additional investigation, the airline spokesperson said in a statement. The accused co-passenger apologized in front of CISF personnel.
The woman received assistance during the flight, according to the company, and the cabin crew “promptly intervened” to address the situation.
