Sikkim: ICFAI University Expands Skill Development Programs Aligning with NEP

Gangtok, 8th Aug. ICFAI University Sikkim has announced its expansion in skill development programs, aligning itself with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The university has partnered with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and various skill sector councils to provide skill development programs while students continue with their undergraduate programs.

Under this new initiative, students will now have a multi-entry exit system. In the first year, they will receive a diploma, followed by an advanced diploma in the second year.

The third year will see them earn their undergraduate degree, and the fourth year will be dedicated to research or an honors degree. This comprehensive program structure allows students to gain practical skills while pursuing their academic qualifications.

One of the key advantages of these programs is their affordability. The fees have been set at reasonable rates, particularly for students from the North East. Additionally, the university offers various scholarship programs, including a 50% fee concession through government quotas.

ICFAI University Sikkim is a flagship group of the ICFAI Foundation and IBS, renowned for their case study research methodology and storytelling approach to teaching.
