Sharif hails Trump role in India-Pak ceasefire, claims shot down 7 Indian jets during May conflict

UNITED NATIONS – Pakistani Prime Minister Shebhaz Sharif on Friday hailed US President Donald Trump’s role in the India-Pakistan ceasefire, called him a “truly a man of peace.”
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif used his UNGA address to Islamabad’s false propaganda, claimed “our falcons took flight and etched their answer across the skies, resulting in seven of the Indian jets being turned to scrap and dust” during the conflict in May.
Sharif alleged that India carried out “unprovoked aggression” against Pakistan following the Pahalgam terrorist attack in his address to the UNGA session.
He claimed that Pakistan repelled the Indian attacks that targeted “our cities and innocent civilians.”
“I had warned that Pakistan would act most decisively against any external aggression…Those words of mine proved true…In May this year, my country confronted unprovoked aggression from our eastern front. Our enemy came shrouded in arrogance, and we sent them back in humiliation,” he claimed.
Sharif hailed US President Donald Trump’s role in the India-Pakistan ceasefire, calling him a “truly a man of peace.”
“President Trump’s efforts for peace helped avert a war in South Asia. Had he not intervened timely and decisively, the consequences of a full-fledged war would have been catastrophic,” Shehbaz said.
He also championed Trump’s apparent ambition for the Nobel Peace Prize, said nominating the US President for the award was the least Pakistan could do.
Pakistani Prime Minister’s claims appeared far from the reality as India inflicted massive damage to Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, destroyed its radars and airfields, downing several planes, including an F-16, and dismantling the terror infrastructure inside the country.
New Delhi has rejected Trump’s ceasefire mediation claims, saying the cessation of firing was directly negotiated by the Armies of the India and Pakistan on the latter’s request.
