New Delhi, 12th Jan: Union Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday addressed young leaders at the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, emphasising the importance of purposeful living and collective responsibility in building a developed India.

The interaction was held at Bharat Mandapam as part of the pre-event proceedings of the Dialogue, where selected young leaders presented their ideas and policy perspectives before a panel of Union Ministers.

During the session, youth representatives showcased innovative proposals across key thematic areas such as Building a Sustainable and Green Viksit Bharat, Enhancing Productivity through Smart and Sustainable Agriculture, and Innovation with Tradition: Building a Modern Bharat. The presentations highlighted the creativity, diversity of thought and grassroots solutions emerging from across the country.

Addressing the participants, Shri Chouhan said that life attains true meaning when it is dedicated to the service of society and the nation. He encouraged the young leaders to set large goals and pursue them with commitment, discipline and inner strength, underlining that dedication and focus are essential qualities of effective leadership.

The Union Minister also acknowledged the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in creating platforms that enable meaningful youth participation in governance and policy-making, noting that India’s development journey requires active involvement of its young citizens.

The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026 is being organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports through the MY Bharat platform to institutionalise youth engagement in governance and policy discourse. The interaction at Bharat Mandapam reaffirmed the government’s commitment to recognising youth as key stakeholders in India’s progress towards becoming a developed nation.
