New Delhi/Amaravati, 2nd July: Senior IPS officer Siddharth Kaushal has announced his voluntary resignation from the Indian Police Service, bringing to a close a distinguished career in law enforcement across Andhra Pradesh.
In an official statement, Kaushal emphasized that the decision was made purely on personal grounds and dismissed recent media speculation suggesting his exit was due to harassment or external pressure. “My decision is entirely independent, personal, and voluntary,” the officer stated firmly, calling all contrary reports “baseless and misleading.”
The officer said he arrived at the decision after deep personal reflection and in alignment with long-term life goals and his family’s wishes. “Serving in the IPS has been the most fulfilling and enriching journey of my life. This state has always been my home, and its people will stay in my heart with deep affection and pride,” he added.
Kaushal’s resignation has raised eyebrows within bureaucratic circles, especially amid what some sources describe as mounting pressure on senior IPS officers in the state. While the officer has not confirmed any such circumstances, reports of frequent transfers, extended wait periods for postings, and administrative stress have surfaced over the past year.
Sources close to the development indicate that Kaushal is likely to move into the private sector, with a corporate role in Delhi being under consideration.
In his concluding note, Kaushal expressed optimism about the future. “As I move forward, I do so with gratitude, purpose, and clarity, looking to contribute to society in new and meaningful ways in the years to come,” he said.
