New Delhi, 7th June.
In an outstanding display of commitment to educational empowerment, South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), a subsidiary of Coal India based in Chhattisgarh, has successfully guided 39 out of 40 students enrolled in its NEET coaching assistance program, “SECL Ke Sushrut,” to clear the NEET 2024 exam. This achievement reflects a remarkable 98% success rate for the initiative.

The “SECL Ke Sushrut” program, launched in 2023 under the guidance and support of the Ministry of Coal, provides free residential medical coaching to Class 12 students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, particularly in the coal belt areas of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The program’s selection process is competitive, based on the NEET pattern, and the coaching is delivered in partnership with a private institute in Bilaspur.

One of the successful students, Mahendra Nayak from Umaria, a tribal district in Madhya Pradesh, shared his gratitude, stating, “My father, a farmer, could not afford coaching for the NEET exam. The ‘SECL ke Sushrut’ program provided me with top-notch coaching facilities, making my dream a reality.”
