Calling on young graduates to pursue “progress with purpose,” the Vice-President said India’s youth stand at a historic moment as the country moves rapidly toward the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Highlighting the transformative role of technology, he encouraged students to use digital tools responsibly and positively for the advancement of society.
“Progress with purpose is essential for the advancement of society and humanity,” he said.
Radhakrishnan described Tripura as a state rich in cultural and spiritual heritage and referred to his visit earlier in the day to the Tripura Sundari Temple, noting its deep historical and spiritual significance.
He also appreciated the development initiatives undertaken through joint efforts of the Central and state governments.
Referring to the Mata Bari Tourism Circuit, the Vice-President said the project would enhance Tripura’s position on the global map of spiritual and eco-tourism while generating employment opportunities and boosting the local economy.
Emphasising the importance of connectivity, he said the past decade has witnessed major improvements in rail, road and air infrastructure across the North-East.
These developments, he noted, have helped bring the region closer to the rest of the country and strengthened the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
Encouraging students to contribute to nation-building, Radhakrishnan highlighted the importance of unity in India’s diversity.
Quoting noted Tamil poet Subramania Bharathiyar, he said every citizen is a guardian of the nation and collective efforts will help India achieve greater progress.
