New Delhi, 15th Dec: Vice-President of India C. P. Radhakrishnan on Monday paid tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 75th death anniversary at the Vice-President’s Enclave.

In a social media post, the Vice-President recalled the immense contribution of Sardar Patel, popularly known as the Iron Man of India, in the integration of the princely states and in laying the foundation of the All India Services, which played a pivotal role in strengthening the country’s unity and administrative framework.

VP Radhakrishnan said that Sardar Patel’s leadership rose to the extraordinary challenge of uniting a nation marked by vast linguistic, cultural and regional diversity. He described this achievement as unparalleled, noting that it far exceeded similar efforts witnessed anywhere else in the world.

The Vice-President added that Sardar Patel’s enduring legacy continues to inspire the vision of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat and remains a guiding force for the nation as it moves forward on the path towards a Viksit Bharat.

He emphasised that the values of unity, discipline and national integration championed by Sardar Patel remain deeply relevant to India’s present and future.
