New Delhi, 15th Dec: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Monday paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the symbol of national unity and the architect of a strong India, on his death anniversary.

In a post on social media platform X, Shri Shah recalled that despite numerous adverse circumstances, Sardar Patel successfully unified a fragmented independent India and laid the firm foundation of a robust nation. He said Patel’s decisive leadership at a critical juncture in history ensured the political and territorial integration of the country.

Highlighting Patel’s role as independent India’s first Home Minister, Shri Shah said that the Iron Man of India made internal security, peace and stability the mission of his life, dedicating himself to safeguarding the unity and integrity of the nation.

The Home Minister also noted that Sardar Patel inspired the revival of the cooperative movement and laid the foundation of a self-reliant India by empowering women and farmers. He said Patel’s vision and ideals would continue to guide the nation like a guiding star on the path of putting national interest above all else.

Shah emphasised that Sardar Patel’s life and legacy remain a source of inspiration for building a strong, united and self-confident India.
