Sanjay Jaju Assumes Office as Secretary of Ministry of I&B

Sanjay Jaju took charge as Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Monday. A seasoned bureaucrat, Jaju is a 1992-batch IAS officer from the Telangana cadre.

Upon assuming his new role, Jaju was warmly welcomed by outgoing Secretary, Shri Apurva Chandra, and other officials of the Ministry along with representatives from various media units. Shri Apurva Chandra, who previously held the position, has now been assigned as the Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Prior to this appointment, Jaju served as Additional Secretary to the Government of India from 2018 to 2023. He also held the position of Director at the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited from October 2014 to March 2018.

Jaju’s vast experience in the administrative field includes serving as Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh in the Electronics, IT, and Communications Department from May 2011 to October 2014. His tenure in various roles underscores his capability and expertise in handling diverse portfolios.
