Mumbai, 16th April.
Two men captured on CCTV firing gunshots outside the Mumbai residence of Bollywood actor Salman Khan on Sunday are suspected to be from Haryana’s Gurugram and allegedly belong to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s criminal network, according to sources.

Identified as Vishal, one of the individuals reportedly has ties to notorious Bishnoi gang member Rohit Godara, known for his involvement in violent crimes, including the recent murder of Gurugram-based businessman Sachin Munjal.

CCTV footage showed both suspects wearing caps and backpacks, firing towards Khan’s residence before fleeing the scene. Sporting distinct attire, one wore a white t-shirt with a black jacket and denim pants, while the other was dressed in a red t-shirt with denim pants.

Prior to the attack, the suspects conducted reconnaissance near Galaxy Apartments, Khan’s residence. After abandoning their motorcycle getaway vehicle near Mount Mary Church in Bandra, they reportedly evaded capture by taking a rickshaw to Bandra railway station. Both suspects remain at large.

An online post by Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, claimed responsibility for the shooting, describing it as a “preview” and issuing a warning to the actor.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has assured Khan of unwavering support and commitment to upholding the rule of law.

This incident follows previous threats against Khan, with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) disclosing last year that he topped the list of targets for elimination by Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang.
